Position Summary
This position is to support and sustain growth of Eastern China IG business through execution of a variety of marketing activities. Incumbent will also support the development and implementation of merchant market plans.
Success in this role will require working closely with Commercial team members and Asia marketing team. The role is accountable for building up of local market knowledge and analysis, such as competitive intelligence, market trends, and customer information.
The incumbent must have strong communication skills, able to work independently, and be able to work effectively in cross functional teams, including both internal and external groups.
Principal Accountabilities
Market Intelligence
1.Develop market knowledge
?Analyze market trends and segment growth of assigned region
?Conduct market research to understand AP’s marketing positioning and the customer behavior
?Local champion of market intelligence process to have up-to-date information on competitive marketing.
?Local Competitive Analysis – Offer, pricing, supply capability & cost, etc.
?Use marketing tools e.g. CRM to summarize results and establish trends to facilitate local and sub regional decision making process
Market Development
2.Support new business development for assigned region
?Identify and track major market opportunity before handing over to sales team
?Develop OEM channel and maintain the relationship with OEM such as laser market.
Local Communication
3.Promotion
?Local champion of marketing communication plan
?Identify new opportunities for effective local market communications
?Work with segment marketing and sales to promote new and repeatable application offerings in local market
?Active participation of local industry associations and sustain good relationship with business, institute and government stakeholders
Market Plan Development and Execution
4.Market planning and execution
?Lead sub regional marketing plan and work with regional and sub regional team on strategy development - market trending, current vs. target, external/internal environment
?Responsible for local execution of market plan and local champion of regional marketing program
?Develop, analyze and monitor execution of local prospect pipeline
?Consistent coordination and collaboration with Sales, CT, Segment and Strategic Marketing and other function teams as needed to optimize the marketing focus for the region
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1.Job Incumbent is expected to have a Bachelor’s Degree in a business, marketing or engineering/science field. There is an added advantage if incumbent has postgraduate qualifications
2.Strong analytical thinking with ability with business acumen
3.Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment and manage multi projects simultaneously
4.Strong communication and presentation skills
5.Job Incumbent is expected to have minimum of 5 years of experience in B to B marketing
6.Decent to Good English ability
